There’s a discussion on the topic on the olpc-software list. Matthew has posted some code for his server-side patches for measuing pixmap usage and Daniel has posted his analysis as well. Although this work is at a really high level, and doesn’t yet deal with what bits of code are actually causing the problems, it’s nice to see some work in this area.
