In FC5, which is going to be released very soon, I’m unbelivably close to having suspend/resume/hibernate working. It’s incredibly reliable now on my IBM x31 thanks to the huge work that Jeremy and Dave Jones have been doing. Except for one little problem: the airo driver. After a resume it refuses to scan. That’s it. That’s the only thing standing in between me and beautiful, perfect suspend/resume.
Our HCL list is growing. We would love it if people using and testing FC5 would update the list with compatibility information. We have a good number of laptops on our list already, but we’re somewhat limited by the number that we have in the office (some of which are vendor-supplied.) So go forth and test and let us know how suspend/resume work for you on your laptop.
