I did an interview at the conference today with Amber Mac for citynews. The full interview is available here and the short snippit that they apparently played during the 7pm news is available here. (I didn’t see it. I wasn’t in front a TV between 7 and 7:30pm.) The snippit feels weird and I don’t think that my voice should ever have a sound track.
The nice thing about having a web log is that you can post errata for an interview. I think I got the weight of the laptop wrong. I think that it’s heavier than a kilogram. I think it’s about two. (Sorry, I grew up in the states and going from pounds to kilograms requires on the fly math – not my strong suit.)

it just stays at the loading fase ..
it works when I choose low bandwidth… but i definately do not have low bandwidth.. :-)

The full interview is one of the best videos we have released on our site (as well as one of the most viewed). It is hard to tell your story in a one-minute piece (especially with a soundtrack :)) but I think both videos complement each other and your site fills in the rest.

I sat in on your session about OLPC during the event and it was really solid. Much more so than the City News inteview…didn’t Seneca tape it? I wonder if they could give you a link so that ppl can see the whole thing.
They did tape it and they have a copy of my slides. I’m told that they will edit them together to create something seamless and release it under a CC license. But that takes a little time. When they do post it I’ll make a note in the old web log.
