planet site for one laptop per child

We’ve finally gotten around to setting up a planet site for the One Laptop per Child project.  We’re going to be posting regular updates about what’s going on with a lot of different voices around the project.  You can also join the One Laptop per Child group at Mugshot and track it that way, along with all your friends.

Chris: I’m Thai developer. The news from various sources are confused and contradiction. I think you might know best. Is Thailand still on the first shipment of the OLPC XO1 on July 07?

  2. blizzard says:

I know that Thailand is still on the list but I don’t know what the current status is.

Thanks for the planet site. That’s really cool. Will be there a lot.

@isriya: Check the countries page of OLPC about Thailand:

It seems Walter Bender’s useful weekly “OLPC Community News”, e.g. http://laptop.media.mit.edu/laptopnews.nsf/latest/news?opendocument= , does not appear on planet.laptop.org. I realize getting a Lotus Notes database to generate an RSS feed may not be trivial :-)

hi I heard on the federal radio police last year on november, even I saw pics with president kirchner (argentina) and Lula (brazil) on the newspaper announcing, 1.000.000 OLPC to be shipped finishing january… still haven’t seen not a single one…
    Are my politicians/representators foolishing me?
