		<description>Thanks for the information on the Global Desktop Initiative. It makes sense for Red Hat to have a short support cycle product for the desktop as the innovations for most desktop uses goes at a high pace and the &#039;corporate&#039; model of RHEL does not match that pace. [A desktop for a call center seems to stay the same for years.. while for the home user wants new stuff.]

It will be interesting to see how the GD will handle the other requirements that I have seen in BRIC like areas.. which seem to have memory/cpu requirements on par  with the OLPC at times.</description>
