You guys joke about little snow but Samantha’s middle name is Snow. It’s actually a family name that runs in Shona’s side and is Shona’s middle name as well.

So, how’s the first month been?

Not too bad. The lack of sleep at first was pretty rough on me just because of the way that my body works. But my wife and I have worked out a sort-of shift schedule and now we can get longer chunks of sleep. She’s up to sleeping 5-6 hours a night now and that gives us a break as well.

But it’s fun to watch her continue to learn. We celebrate even the simplest things – turning her head to follow a sound or looking at something farther and farther from her face. Getting her fist to her mouth on purpose. It certainly puts your own accomplishments in perspective.
