next mozilla embedding meetup: May 8th & 9th in Mountain View

I made a note about this in my previous post but I thought it would be worth it to make a separate post about this.

We’ll be having another embedding meetup in Mountain View on May 8th and 9th (next Thursday and Friday.) Our goal will be to start pitching and scoping a new Embedding API and trying to get some actual code down on paper. We’ll run it as an open meeting. If you’re in the area and you want to come by let me know (also on twitter) so we can try and find the right sized room. We’ll also have some more structured sessions with an open telephone line so people can join in for some of the time.

Right now we have me, Mark Finkle, Dave Camp, Pelle Johnsen, Brad Lassey, Doug Turner, Stuart and Vlad in attendance. We had a lot of interest last time and this time I’m giving more warning. :D So feel free to drop on by.

I’ll post more info as people respond and let me know how many people we might have showing up.

you’re killing me! I’ll miss this one too :-).

I can’t imagine the embedding api needs any revisioning!? ;-)

I’ll make one at some point.

The epiphany people seem to think it does need fixing. They are going to dump the gecko backend in the next version, please contact them and fix the issues they mention so we GNOME users have a choice of rendering engine.
