razor

Kristian Høgsberg recently mention that razor has a home. Nice to see that someone is finally taking the time to invest in something to update yum and rpm. Like rpm or not, it’s still a technology that are at the heart of many major Linux distributions and probably deserve the same kinds of investment that other parts of Linux have seen. Go, Kristian, go!

    What about Conary? It’s pretty much the next-generation after RPM.

    I knew someone would ask about Conary on this post. I’m just talking about incremental improvements to rpm-the-program. I can’t see Red Hat switching horses at this point.

    Conary would only be the next generation RPM, if it was compatible with it. I don’t see that happening here.
