I gave my keynote at GUADEC yesterday. I tried to make it fun and interactive for the audience, lots of questions, lots of heckling on my part and I tried to make fun of Miguel every chance I got.
At the end I gave some demos of various bits of what’s coming down the pipe for Firefox 3.next. There’s a bunch of stuff on the web about it now. Here are some links of interest:
Robert O’Callahan
Chris Double
- Video Bling
- Chris’ video test page – my tests came from here
Vladimir Vukićević
If you’re interested in the slides you can see them on my mozilla people page.
Ooh, is there a video of this presentation anywhere? Would love to see the audience reactions to the demos and the kinds of jabs at Miguel you took :)
I think that it might have been recorded? I’m not sure. Have to check with the conference later.
The GNOME website only has 2007 videos and I can’t find a video link on the GUADEC site, so I’d be surprised (and disappointed) if they didn’t record you. Hope you or someone else can find the link!
The 2007 videos were available months later the Guadec in Birmingham. So I guess this time won’t be uploaded instantly.
Mac screenshots, really? Didn’t you used to work for Red Hat?
I still use Linux every day. I just use other operating systems at the same time. :)
