I like it. I think the exciting work of the p2p next folks could probably solve issue number 4. and make the whole thing worth while since you could potentially grab things “faster” from the p2p network and take advantage of the streaming bittorrent protocall that will work well with ogg
Some things like cancel download and cancel transcode “should work” .. but maybe need to be revisited.
Things like “seeking” don’t seem worth addressing as its related to the issue of simultaneously transcoding and playing.. you might as well just use a VLC plugin and a script to swich out the flash embed and avoid the intermediary theora step.

Wow, the audio and video are really out of sync in this video. Not sure if that’s a Firefox issue or a Theora issue.
Sound seems synced for me (both on webkit and w/ FF 3.5)
