		<description>mxz, realistically, eliminating flash is one of key points of HTML5.   As well, H.264 dominating would help Apple, since it gives them a key advantage over Linux, so a royalty free VP8 codec dominating the web would probably sorta hurt Apple, at least in the short term.</description>

		<description>Let us just hope that Google won&#039;t simply use their newly acquired VP8 codec and YouTube as the ultimate bargaining chip in the battle against Adobe and Apple. It could completely screw Flash and possibly hurt Apple.</description>

		<description>You make some great points here. I am sure that better codecs will come down the pipe and if royalty becomes a problem we will jump to a new codec. My vote is for an On2 codec. cheers. Good reading.</description>
